Greetings to Friends, Fans & Family!

It seems that as I get older my sense of time is changing: I'm more patient, thankfully, but time now seems to move so fast! Is the year really gone so quickly?

I don't have big songwriting news to recap this year, my old rock & roll hit "That's Freedom" being chosen as the theme song for Australia's tourism department being the item of note, but it's been a great year in many ways.

For starters, I released a new album, Shallow Water (detailed in my last newsletter), which I'm grateful to say has been well received. Shallow Water is such a labor of love for me — a collection of songs that have deeply inspired me — and putting it out in the world is simply a joy.
Also, I've toured more extensively this year than I have in some time. My work with Terri Stewart (Stewart Management & Booking in Denver) has begun to bear fruit, as Terri has put me in listening rooms this year in Colorado, North Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, New Mexico, Nebraska, Illinois, South Carolina, Washington and British Columbia. Lots of miles! Lots of songs! And a lot of new friends and fans, to whom I am truly grateful.

As for the work at hand, look for a Sherpas (Michael Lille, Tom Prasada-Rao & me) album early next year. I will soon begin a new solo album as well, and I'm assembling a book of poems and songs I'd like to release before next year's end(!)

My touring will also continue in 2003, and if you're on my zip-code-based e-mail list you'll get an e-note letting you know if I'll be playing in your area. I look forward to seeing more of you next year, and I wish you and yours a very Happy Holiday and Bright New Year. I am thankful for your ongoing support and encouragement.
